LibraFest 2009 ~ Don't be left out of the fun!

Today marks the beginning of the season of the Libra. Chances are either you, a friend or a family member is a Libra. There seems to be a plethora of us out there. So, why not utilize this apparent windfall as an excuse to have a month long celebration that includes bonfires, parties, bands, out of town excursions and a semi-formal Black & White party?

That is exactly what we've decided to do and we are calling it LibraFest.

Are you going to be left out of this month long festival? I really hope not. If you haven't received an invitation via FaceBook, it is probably because we got busy and forgot to send it. Please, don't let that deter you from attending. Shoot us an email, have a friend forward the invite or just show up. Our general motto is "The more the merrier." Libra's are a friendly social sort!

So, clear your calendar, rest up and get ready to have a great time. For LibraFest is upon us and it is "Fall Fun Frivolity for Everyone."

PS. If you have not yet RSVP'd for the Get-Away weekend on October 16 and 17, please do s0 ASAP. We are busy trying to formalize our plans and cannot until we have a good head count. Because of hotel availability, it does look like this event is going to move to Louisville and we are in contact with 4th Street Live for special arrangements and reservations. Let us know if you have an specific requests.

LibraFest 2009 begins this Friday, September 25th!

Well, we have only a few short days until the season of the Libra actually begins. The anticipation is enough to send me into hysterics. We have so many fabulous events planned for both adults and kids. As with all things in life, plans are subject to change, so make sure that you are checking in with our blog regularly to get the latest details.

Our first event is the Castle - Bosse football game at Enlow Field. Being a Castle graduate, I have a propensity for watching them play, but we picked an away game in order to lend an air of neutrality for those Libra's that weren't fortunate enough to be Knights. (Simmer down now, I'm just playing!) The game starts at 7 PM on Friday, September 25th, so please plan to meet around 6:30. If anyone has a suggestion on where to meet, please let me know. I haven't been to Enlow field in too many years to count. Yikes!

But, don't take a breath yet. We have a second event planned for this weekend. The LibraFest Family Friendly Bonfire is on Saturday, September 26th. I know there has been a lot of confusion around the location for this event and I do apologize. Getting someone to commit to letting families come over, tromp around their yard and burn things is a feat and I'm very happy to announce that the Mohlers' have graciously agreed to let us use their pad for the bonfire. I'll let Marcy publish directions via FaceBook later this week.(Special thanks to Sara for volunteering, but we weren't sure her yard was big enough to accommodate both the adults and the kids. A little breathing room is always a good thing!)

For the event on Friday, everyone is pretty much on your own. No special shirts, shoes or refreshments are needed. However, you are not getting off that easy on Saturday. The bonfire starts at 6 PM and we ask that you bring a snack, your own drinks and some chairs for around the fire. I am a pain, aren't I? Ha. Ha. Well, I promise you'll have fun even if you do have to fend for yourself a bit.

I hope to see you this weekend.

PS. Don't forget to mark your calendars for next weekend's LibraFest Event.....The Birthday Party with Akacia playing at Rick's 718 on Friday, October 2nd..

PSS. We have rescheduled the Black & White Party from Saturday, October 3rd to the Get-Away-Weekend in Nashville on Saturday, October 17th. Sorry if that messes with anyone's plans but it just made sense to combine the events.
